bwat

The first reusable box for pizzas,
quiches and pies

Why a reusable box?

Quite simply, to put an end to single-use waste. Pizza is the most consumed food in the world. They are sold, for the most part, in cardboard boxes that have a duration of use of only 15 – 20 minutes, the time of transport and to devour it.

With bwat, we want to reduce waste on an indivual scale.

The same is true in bakeries that sell pies or caterers that sell quiches.

The cardboard packaging for these three products is discarded after a very short time of use. Moreover, it is not recyclable because it has been soiled by food.

The same is true in bakeries that sell pies or caterers that sell quiches…

4 billion pizza boxes are thrown away every year in the world. This is equivalent to deforesting 17,160 soccer fields or the surface of the Brussels Region

And contrary to popular belief, most of these pizza boxes are not recyclable.

More particularly in Belgium 16.6 million pizza boxes are thrown away every year. This is equivalent to deforesting 70 soccer fields.

bwat is made of a material that is not toxic to health. It can be in contact with food.

Our bwat is water resistant and dishwasher safe for an easy and effortless cleaning.

Is bwat recyclable?

If unfortunately your bwat is damaged and has to be thrown away, from begin 2021 you can throw it away in your PMC garbage can. It will be 100% recycled.

“I was tired of seeing all those pizza boxes cluttering up my garbage can after a night out with friends. This will not happen anymore thanks to bwat”.

Is my bwat foldable?

Both the lid and the tray are foldable, so you can easily put them in the dishwasher or store them wherever you want without taking up too much space

What are the bwat’s stripes  for?

The stripes were developed to prevent the pizza dough from getting soft.

Does the pizza stay warm in a bwat?

Yes, we compared a bwat and a cardboard box and after 10 minutes, the pizza in our bwat was 4 degrees warmer than the one in the cardboard box.
